What's going on and Who's Behind it?

NUMBERS is a joint project of D-Drive Lab (Dalhousie Distributed Research Institute and Virtual Environment), and NSERC (The Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada). It explores the fascinating landscape of mathematical constants, their significance, their history, and neat little tidbits that one might not otherwise hear about.

Dr. John Borwein and Dr. Keith Taylor have selected twelve lucky candidates to duke it out for the title of Universe's Greatest Mathematical Constant. The site features a number of interactive demonstrations, helping make the content both stimulating and accessible.
